Celebrations
FA Cares volunteers gather twice a month to prepare packages of food for those in our community. Together they prepare each box full of amazing food for pick up and deliveries to families around our city.
During Thanksgiving and Christmas, FA Cares was able to increase their deliveries to reach more families in our city! The volunteers packed their cars full of boxes and drove to different parts of the city to make deliveries to families. Arriving at people's homes often resulted in reactions of shock, smiles, laughter and then the most genuine THANK YOU one could hear. To date over 2400 boxes have been given. It is much better to give than to receive!
One of our community groups has focused on restoring cars and giving them to people in need. Our Mechanics Group meets weekly to repair cars to be able to give to people. Since the inception of the program, they have repaired and given away 62 vehicles!
Benevolence, the act of a generous gift, is part of FA Cares. Through the generous giving of so many people, we have been able to help people pay for their rent, their bills, grocery cards and provided emergency shelters for those in need. Jesus asked us to take care of those in need and we highly value this ask from Him!

FA Pantry
Since March of 2020, First Assembly has been serving our community in a practical and loving way. Through our FA Pantry, food hampers filled with healthy groceries are provided to families in need throughout our city. We are reminded of the words of Jesus, “For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat.” Matthew 25:36.

FA Mechanics
FA Mechanics is a unique ministry that services and re-purposes donated vehicles for individuals and families in our community. This group of volunteer mechanics led by Pastor Cliff Newbury meets weekly to work on the donations and to date, FA Mechanics have given away 62 vehicles.

FA Benevolence
FA Benevolence reflects FA’s heart of generosity in kindness. Emergency financial assistance is provided to those who are experiencing emergency financial difficulties. “Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Luke 6:38
FA Hope
FA Hope Team provides spiritual care by coming alongside people who feel hopeless in their circumstances. Our ministry is available to those of faith and no faith. We are outward focused and indiscriminate. We have access to provide help in many ways: Prayer, practical and spiritual care, pastoral counselling, referrals to professional counsellors, psychologists, emotional health and life transitions in community.
